Jimmy Baum What translation to do read for Rumi? I used Franklin Lewis for an Islamic Studies class in university and loved it.
annie's micro(b)log @jimmymansaray I’m reading the Coleman Barks translation now, but I also have A.J. Arberry’s translation of Mystical Poems of Rumi. Both are great in their own very different ways. Though I’m certainly no scholar.
Jimmy Baum It’s all so different and wonderful. I also really enjoy the Oxford Classics version of the Masnavi, but I haven’t read it all.
