A friend in Newfoundland is one of the 2-3 people who knows about a hidden patch of Matsutake mushrooms somewhere on the Conception Bay coast in Newfoundland. The mushrooms, once harvested, are enjoyed by family and friends, but the foraging has a special forces level of secrecy.

I’d love to learn but this is one of those areas I definitely don’t feel confident learning from books or secondary sources. I need a real person with expertise to be right there with me before I’d trust my knowledge.
