And they’re off, blessed by the enigmatic but loving gaze of Ice Spice as they head back to school. 6th, 9th, 11th, and 12th. How did this happen so fast?

Good luck to them and you! I only have one but have learned to enjoy her chaos because I'll eventually miss it terribly.

@gregmoore Yes, so true! I can't believe my oldest is starting her last year of high school. I'm not ready for that stage of parenting where they start, you know, leaving.

@pratik I've offered to legally adopt her but she declined, can't imagine why!

I already have trouble when she does sleepovers for most of a weekend. I’ll be a mess when she graduates.

@gregmoore Enjoy that one more year of high school. Tomorrow is move-in day for my son at his dorms. On Friday, it will be time for goodbye hugs before we drive back home. 😳☹️🥹

@Parag That was us last year with our oldest. Though necessary, sending her off to college was rough on us. She's off to year two this weekend and we're much more at ease with it, thankfully.

@bjhess This is our younger one. Our older daughter started college 2 years ago and is a rising junior now. We will be getting adjusted to an empty nest when we go back.

@Parag Oooh that’s a big transition! I am not mentally or emotionally prepared at all. What is your son planning to study?

He is planning to study Physics. That is great but being at a liberal arts college, he doesn’t have to declare major till his 4th semester. Hopefully he will take diverse classes and figure out what he really wants to do.
