Retrospective, financial anniemueller.com/posts/ret…

Masterful writing. I’m kind of blown away by how much your feelings mirror my own even though we’ve walked very different life paths. I think the conclusions you’re developing into feel universal to an American experience. We have no choice but to exist within an increasing number of systems that only calculate and solve for money. It no longer takes a conspiracy for them to eat away at real life.
I’ve been trying to teach my kid not to be afraid of money and spot the financial systems at work in things that purport to be something else. Teaching her forces me to spot them too and causes us to inevitably end up in conversations about what North Star we’re actually sailing towards.

@gregmoore Thanks for reading, Greg. This comment… whoa, yep: “It no longer takes a conspiracy for them to eat away at real life.” It’s just ‘how things are now’; the machine is munching, we are the fodder.
How you’re raising your kid gives me hope. How I’m raising my kids gives me hope.
