Sunshine, breeze, warm, things in bloom. Great day for a balcony break.

🥾 Today’s hiking church - LaBarque Hills Trail. Little signs of spring everywhere.

A leaf covered trail winds through the woods with shadows falling across and sprigs of grass starting to show

I was out taking my stupid little mental health walk when this song popped up. I was laughing out loud. Hilarious, a groove, and surefire motivation for the gym or the walk or whatever.

Missouri law says pregnant women can’t get divorced:

As it stands, Missouri judges cannot legally finalize a divorce if a woman is pregnant. Three other states have similar laws: Texas, Arizona and Arkansas. While a couple can still file for divorce in Missouri, the court must wait until after a woman gives birth in order to finalize child custody and child support.
When it comes to domestic violence, there are no exceptions.

Ended up with an unexpected free night last night. The nearest interesting thing turned out to be a small underground techno show. Danced for three hours till my knees gave out. So much fun.

i made my teens this diagram of dating options. wonder if they’ll pay any attention to it. (we like different, but it’s not all good dating material)

R (16yo): Mom lemme hook you up with some sick pants. Try these on.

Heavy wide leg too-big denim taking me right back to the 90s.

Lately my youngest has expressed an interest in religion, which is fine. But I gotta say it’s a little weird when she brings home church info from a friend. I’ve talked to the Mom of this friend before and I think there’s a bit of (attempted) proselytizing in play. I don’t mind at all if my kiddo wants to go to church with a friend but it’s funny/weird to be in this position, being a recipient of “outreach” from the religion I grew up in.
