Here we go again — Fumbling for the words

I don’t love that my sunset view is framed by brick wall, parking lot, cafe roof, and power lines. But I do love that sunsets exist & I get to see them. I’ve been lucky enough to live in beautiful environments surrounded by trees and sky and water. I may get that lucky again one day.

A sunset with light beaming out over a flat cafe roof with power lines, a parking lot, and the edge of a brick building in view

the little voice in my head telling me I could lay down for a little nap and then get up and finish my work is not to be trusted, i just have to keep reminding myself

I feel like I can be a badass woman who don’t need no man (or any person good with tools) but it just took a long time to put that bed frame together and I stripped several screws and did one part wrong and had to disassemble and redo and now my back hurts

Something my kids appreciate about me is how good I am at those little touches that bring a real high-end aesthetic to our home.

They don’t tell me how much they appreciate it but I can feel it. They don’t have to say it out loud.

Trying this mushroom coffee I forgot I had, reaching the same conclusion as before: Lo, the mushroom cannot replace the coffee bean. It hath been written.

This is so good.

I am seeking to unveil reality, not impose a pre-formulated narrative upon it; sometimes stories help, and sometimes they don’t. A once-useful story dissolves when it no longer reflects reality. Truth, as best as we can find it, should guide us, even when it does not fit neatly into a story.

Currently hanging in the omg.lol co-working discord where there’s some streaming + chatting about something to do with email and it’s like when I listen to German or Spanish music while working. Like, I understand some of the words, can happily ignore the rest as comforting background noise.

Is it another little blog post? Yep, sure is! β€”β€”How to be confident - annie’s blog

Just noticed that the one coffee travel mug I’ve been using exclusively for the last 6 weeks is flaking off bits of… something…? on the inside. The coating, I guess. So that’s cool. I’m sure it’s fine. Non-cancerous etc. Fine. Absolutely fine.

What? Another little blog post? Yes! β€”β€”The week has gone, the week is ahead - annie’s blog
